Simplifiy Travel with a Clutter-free & Organized Closet
What does a "Clutter-free and Organized" closet have to do with you getting away for the weekend? The answer is “Plenty!” A weekend trip doesn’t have to take a week of packing if your closet has the right stuff in the right places.
• Like to hike? Keep all of your hiking clothes, shoes, and gear in one spot in your closet. The same goes for skiing, skating, and so on. Plan for one-stop packing.
• Keep your favorite suitcase or bag packed with your favorite toiletries and make-up. Use samples to save space. Think of the time you’ll save!
• Purge your closet of the ski pants you’ll never fit into in this life; your high school sweatshirt with the holes on the elbows; the shoes that even your dog refuses to chew on – you get the idea. Only keep items in your closet that really fit and that you like to wear.
• Keep a supply of see-through, waterproof zippy bags in your closet. Use them to pack entire outfits together in your suitcase or bag. And if any of your toiletries leak, it’s not a problem if it’s contained in a waterproof bag.
• When you return home refill or replace any items of your favorite toiletries and
make-up. This way you will be ready to leave on short notice for your next trip.
Once you have accomplished your goal of a Clutter-free & Organized closet, get ready for the time of your life. Reducing the stress of packing will give you more energy to enjoy the trip. Explore new places and meet new people – have FUN!
I always enjoy hearing about your travel and what you do to make it easier,
