Garage Organizing Tips from Clutter-free & Organized

Before it gets and you haven't done so alsready, too hot tackle your garage and make it Clutter-free & Organized. If you did it a few months ago, do you need to do a touch up so chaos doesn't return? How about your gardening items? After wasting time looking for my favorite little gardening tool, I cleaned out my potting shed today.I had even walked all over my yard trying to see if I had left it somewhere, only to find it buried in the potting shed.:(  It was a mess because I often stop working outside when it is too dark to see what I am doing. So then I toss all my gardening stuff in a pile. Today  realized I the Organizer needed to get her stuff organized.:)

Organizing Tips:

l.  Start in a corner.  Celebrate when you find the concrete.

2.  Make different piles:  throw away, give away or donate,  repair, return to proper place.

3.  Ask yourself why you are keeping the item.  Be specific - someday or maybe are not good answers.

4. Sort for 45 minutes and disperse your stacks for 15 minutes. That way you are not overwhelmed at the end with all this stuff to do something with. Then work for another hour if you have the time and energy.

5. Hang up as many items as possible.  There are many good sports equipment organizers available.

6. Schedule time to maintain!  Write on your calendar once a month to do a quick check and put things back where they belong and every season to do a major check up.
